The $5.0M seed round Exclaim Robotics just closed is a bet on a very specific problem: keeping humans out of harm’s way inside AI data centers. As racks shift to 800V DC power, the old routine of a technician physically reaching in to swap a part becomes a genuine safety hazard.
Exclaim builds robots to handle those delicate, high-stakes tasks-cleaning and replacing optics, reconnecting copper cabling, re-seating drives-rather than the heavy lifting. Playfair Capital and Founderful are backing the approach, which targets the dexterous manipulation work that software can’t touch. The funding gives the startup room to push its hardware closer to deployment in facilities where the margin for error is measured in millimeters.
