Americans seeking medical care across state lines or overseas often face a labyrinth of research, language barriers, and payment hurdles. Doctours, a new marketplace designed to simplify this complex process, has raised $2.0M in pre-seed funding.
The investment round, which included Draper Associates, Launch, Halogen Ventures, StoryHouse Ventures, and HMC INQ, backs Doctours' mission to streamline everything from provider verification to communication and payment. The company is initially focusing on hair transplants, tapping into a medical tourism market that saw 1.5 million Americans travel for care in 2024, with plans to expand into IVF, orthopedics, dental, and vision treatments.
