Databento, a platform simplifying access to vast troves of market data, has secured $97.0M in Series b funding. The round saw participation from a mix of new and existing investors, including New Enterprise Associates (NEA), DRW, Redpoint, and Tribe Capital.
The company, which launched three years ago, offers a self-service model allowing users to instantly pick up live exchange feeds and terabytes of historical data, paying only for what they use. This approach has attracted over 40,000 customers, ranging from early-stage startups to the world's largest financial institutions, leveraging the team's deep experience from high-frequency trading desks.
