Daso has raised $750K in pre-seed funding from Neo, a bet on a contrarian idea: a first computer for kids that’s built to end screen time, not extend it.
The company is designing an AI-native device for ages 6–12, focused on making rather than scrolling-writing, drawing, coding, and reading, with no feeds, ads, or engagement-driven defaults. Parents get visibility into what the AI is doing and set the boundaries, while the device is meant to push kids back into the real world when a session wraps. Daso is still in development, gearing up for a limited alpha with early families, and the fresh capital will help carry it toward that launch.
