Italian companies chasing public tenders know the drill: endless paperwork, dense technical specs, and administrative forms that eat up hours better spent on crafting a competitive bid. Cato, an AI-native platform built to handle that grind, has just raised $7.0M in seed funding to take on the country’s fragmented procurement market.
The round is backed by Keen Venture Partners, Italian Founders Fund, Vento, HEARTFELT_, Moonstone, BHeroes, Alecla7, and Nova Ventures, LLC. Cato says its software is already in use by more than 30 bid and commercial offices across healthcare, education, and infrastructure-automating everything from opportunity scouting to requirement analysis and proposal drafting. The pitch: turn public tenders from a bureaucratic burden into a growth lever, with a system that sharpens over time.
