Capable has raised $38.0M in seed funding to build out its AI-driven drug discovery platform, with an initial focus on sleep-related disorders. The biotechnology company says its vertically integrated approach lets it discover and develop therapeutics in-house rather than licensing or outsourcing the work.
The round drew a mix of institutional and angel investors: Cathay and Abstract led the institutional side, joined by Fidji Simo, Joe Betts-LaCroix, and Andrej Karpathy. Capable frames its mission as turning frontier intelligence into frontier medicines, and the sleep focus is its first target in a broader effort to develop therapeutics aimed at expanding human potential.
