Bramble Energy has raised $46.6M in Series B funding to scale its printed circuit board fuel cell technology. The Crawley-based company, founded in 2016 at University College London and Imperial College London, has developed a patent-protected PCBFC™ that leverages existing PCB manufacturing techniques and supply chains to reduce the cost and complexity of producing hydrogen fuel cells.
The round was backed by HydrogenOne Capital Growth, IP Group plc, and Parkwalk Advisors. Bramble says its approach gives it the manufacturing capacity to supply gigawatts of fuel cell hardware - a scale the battery industry took years and billions in investment to reach.
