Blue Whale Energy Pte Ltd. has raised $4.0M in seed funding to build out a distributed battery network aimed at easing local grid constraints, starting in Singapore.
The company aggregates batteries at commercial and industrial sites into a coordinated fleet, using proprietary control technology to cut demand through network bottlenecks. Its "Bring Your Own Capacity" approach is meant to help data centres get power sooner while creating value for host businesses and the wider grid. The round drew backing from Wavemaker Partners, SG Growth Capital (SEEDS), ADB Ventures, Analog Ventures, Monk's Hill Ventures and UntroD Capital.
