Biossil has raised $153.0M from OpenAI, an unusual backer for a drug discovery company and a signal of how far the AI giant is willing to reach into the life sciences.

The company runs an applied AI drug discovery platform aimed at targeted therapies for biologically defined patient sub-populations - diseases where traditional discovery has stumbled over population variability. The round type was not disclosed.
