BAABUK Sàrl, the Swiss designer and manufacturer of wool footwear, has secured $510,000 in its latest funding round. Founded in 2013 by Dan and Galina Witting, the company is headquartered in Switzerland with employees on three continents. Inspired by traditional Siberian Valenki boots, the husband and wife team established BAABUK with a vision to create comfortable wool footwear that is authentic to the past and responsible to the future, utilizing what they describe as "nature's magic fiber."
This investment follows a period of notable achievement for BAABUK. The brand has successfully launched four crowdfunding campaigns, which have introduced innovative collections of footwear to a global audience. To date, BAABUK has sold over 100,000 pairs of its wool footwear in more than 60 countries, appealing to customers who share the brand’s values and adventurous spirit. The company's strong commitment to sustainability and community welfare is further highlighted by its recognition as an ISPO Gold Winner and its certification as a B-Corp corporation.
The newly raised capital of $510,000 will be strategically deployed to accelerate BAABUK's growth initiatives. The company plans to use the funds to further innovate its product lines, expand its operational capabilities, and strengthen its market presence across various regions. This funding round underscores investor confidence in BAABUK's socially and environmentally conscious business model. BAABUK aims to continue its mission of innovating the world of wool while striving to do right by customers, employees, and our planet, positioning itself for sustained expansion and continued product development in the global market.
