Apollo Atomics, a startup developing compact nuclear systems designed for fast, reliable, and low-cost deployment, has secured $31.0M in seed funding. The YC P26 company leverages 15 years of research from MIT’s Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering, combining proven technology with factory fabrication to deliver what it calls the energy of the future.
The round saw participation from a diverse group of investors including FCVC, Y Combinator, TeleSoft Partners, Alumni Ventures, and Robinhood Ventures. Notable individual backers like Paul Graham also contributed to the capital raise.
