A fresh infusion of capital has landed at Alan, the prevention insurance provider, which announced a $557.5M Series e funding round. The investment, backed by Prosus, Index Ventures, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, and Temasek, underscores a growing interest in health platforms that prioritize proactive wellness over traditional sick care.
Founded in 2016, Alan aims to reinvent health insurance by helping keep employees healthy every day, not just covering them when they get sick. It serves over 1 million members across more than 37,000 companies in France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada, offering an integrated experience that includes a virtual clinic and a medically supervised AI assistant.
