Defying the typical startup narrative with profitability since 2023, WeRize, an AI-native fintech platform, has now raised $7.0M in Series C funding. The company, which launched in 2019, is building a social distribution model to bring financial products to 300 million+ underserved customers across India's smaller cities and towns.

WeRize operates an asset-light, three-sided marketplace, connecting 17,000+ local freelancers with customers and partner financial institutions. This model, powered by an in-house AI stack trained on proprietary data, allows it to co-create and distribute customized loans, insurance, and investment products without traditional branch infrastructure.
