Tumelo, a London-based fintech building investor-voting technology, has raised $12.0M in Series A funding.
Founded in 2018, the company makes pass-through voting software that lets institutional and retail investors in pooled funds vote their shares directly, rather than ceding that choice to fund managers. Tumelo frames the technology as a step toward what it calls shareholder democracy - a more transparent and representative stewardship process. The company has not disclosed its investors or its plans for the new capital.
