With a history spanning 160 years, The Falkland Islands Company, a cornerstone of the remote archipelago, has raised $100K in funding. Established in 1852 with a Royal Charter, the company initially dominated as a major landowner and sheep farmer, controlling nearly half the land area.
Today, it provides a wide array of essential services to the Falklands' approximately 3,000 residents and the 42,000 tourists who visit annually, 35,000 of whom arrive by cruise ship.
