TechHub NORDTECH Secures $10.5 Million in Funding for Semiconductor Innovation

NORDTECH, a groundbreaking regional coalition focusing on microelectronics innovation, has successfully raised $10.

5 million to further its mission of enhancing semiconductor development and production in New York State. Established in September 2023, NORDTECH emerged from the federal U.S.

CHIPS and Science Act initiative, bringing together a dynamic leadership team from esteemed institutions such as NY CREATES, the University at Albany, Cornell University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), and industry giant IBM.

This significant funding will empower NORDTECH to expand its initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration between public and private sector experts.

The funds will be utilized to support research and development projects, strengthen workforce training programs, and enhance infrastructure critical to the semiconductor ecosystem.

Moreover, the alliance aims to include a diverse range of participants, including small to medium-sized semiconductor manufacturing firms and educational institutions, enabling a holistic approach to advancing microelectronics.
