Tangent Robotics has raised $4.5M in pre-seed funding to build dexterous robot hands and the control policies that make them useful. The company is working on a fine motor skill layer for robotic manipulation, combining touch sensing, hand design, and motor learning to automate complex, high-precision tasks.
Fly Ventures, Toyota Ventures, Logos Fund, and Sparked Ventures backed the round. Tangent's longer-term ambition is to supply general-purpose hands for the general-purpose robots of the future.
