With an innovative approach to energy generation, the SunOyster device harnesses direct sunlight to produce both heat and electricity simultaneously, achieving unparalleled efficiencies that lead the market. Up to 75% of sunlight can be transformed into usable energy, with approximately 30% converted into electricity and the remaining 45% into heat. This dual capability allows the SunOyster to meet the energy demands of a variety of applications, from building heat and cooling to energy supply for smart homes and industries.
Inspired by nature, SunOyster boasts an automatic control system that ensures safety during inclement weather by positioning its mirrors to protect the device—a design feature known as the “Oystering position.” The core of this revolutionary technology lies in its hybrid receiver, a 4-meter-long component that adeptly combines the best attributes of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and Concentrated Photovoltaics (CPV). With special glass lenses concentrating solar energy to an astounding geometric ratio of about 500 suns, SunOyster is capable of producing twice the energy of modern photovoltaic systems from the same surface area.
