Stasher, the maker of reusable silicone bags positioned as an alternative to single-use plastic, has raised $4.0M in Series A funding.
The company, founded in 2016, makes bags and bowls with a leak-free Pinch-Loc seal and says its products keep 260 single-use plastic bags per user out of the ocean each year. Stasher has collected design and innovation awards including the 2023 POPSUGAR Wellness Award, Good Housekeeping's "Kitchen Gear" award in 2022 and 2021, and a Wirecutter Pick. The company says its customers have kept more than 5.5 billion plastic bags from entering oceans and waterways, and it donates annually to ocean-health nonprofits such as the Surfrider Foundation.
