Sparkles has raised $3.5M in seed funding, with backing from Moonfire Ventures and Y Combinator.
The Dutch company runs an e-commerce platform for personalized print products, offering customers a design tool for everything from flyers and business cards to birth announcements and wedding invitations. It sells through its own brands as well as white-label partners, with examples at mooze.nl, hipdesign.nl and fuif.nl. Since launching in 2011, Sparkles says it has grown into one of the largest online providers of birth cards, wedding cards and other printed matter in the Netherlands, with more than 70 employees across offices in Zeist and Oss.
