Sibstar Raises £350K to Empower Financial Independence for Those Who Need It Most

We are thrilled to announce that Sibstar has raised £350,000 in a successful funding round that will empower us to further our mission of driving financial inclusion for individuals with learning disabilities, dementia, mental health conditions, and those in addiction recovery.

At Sibstar, we understand that managing money can be particularly challenging for those who require an extra layer of support, which is why we have developed a groundbreaking Fintech solution comprised of an intuitive debit card and comprehensive mobile app.

This innovative platform allows individuals—as well as their caregivers—to control spending through customizable daily, monthly, and cashpoint limits, while enabling real-time notifications, auto top-ups, and the ability to instantly freeze or unfreeze a card remotely.

Founder Jayne Sibley was inspired to create Sibstar after caring for her parents, who were living with dementia, and realizing that traditional financial tools did not effectively enable those with additional needs to maintain their independence.

This funding will accelerate our ability to reach more people, enhancing the safeguards that help prevent scams and overspending, while also expanding our suite of features that adapt to evolving personal needs.
