Red blood cells are getting a second act, and Senticell has raised $7.0M in seed funding to push that story forward. The round was backed by The Venture City, Capital Factory, Scalpel Ventures, and Evoce Capital.
The company is focused on unlocking the untapped potential of red blood cells for diagnostics and therapeutics-an area that’s long been overshadowed by other cell types. With this capital, Senticell is positioning itself to explore what these cells can do beyond their traditional oxygen-carrying role, though specifics on how the funds will be deployed remain under wraps.
