The global push for cleaner cities and more efficient resource management just got a boost, as smart waste solutions provider Sensoneo announced it has closed a $6.7M Series A funding round. Based in Bratislava, Slovakia, the company offers a comprehensive suite of hardware, software, and consultancy services designed to tackle inefficiencies and lack of transparency in waste management for customers in over 85 countries.
Sensoneo is particularly known for its Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) software, which it has successfully implemented in more than five countries, driving recycling performance above 90%. The company's technology is also slated for a significant deployment in Madrid, contributing 11,100 sensors to what will be the world's largest smart waste installation.
