Sweden's national center for molecular biosciences, SciLifeLab, has secured $18.0M in a Series A funding round. The organization, which focuses on health and environmental research, combines frontline technical expertise with advanced knowledge of translational medicine and molecular bioscience.
Established in 2010 and appointed a national center by the Swedish government in 2013, SciLifeLab has expanded its footprint significantly. Beyond its original Stockholm and Uppsala sites, it added four more locations in Lund, Gothenburg, Linköping, and Umeå in 2021, underscoring its growing role in the country's scientific infrastructure.
