Salmon Evolution Secures 21.86M to Revolutionize Sustainable Land-Based Salmon Farming

Salmon Evolution is thrilled to announce a successful funding round in which the company raised NOK 21,860,000 to further drive its innovative initiatives in sustainable aquaculture.

As a pioneering Norwegian land-based salmon farming company, Salmon Evolution is at the forefront of revolutionizing the fish farming industry by harnessing the best conditions of the sea and replicating them on land.

The funding will be instrumental in accelerating the completion of the company’s state-of-the-art production facility under construction at Indre Harøy, strategically situated on the Norwegian west coast.

This site offers unparalleled access to fresh seawater, renewable energy, and established Atlantic salmon farming infrastructure along with a highly skilled workforce, making it a perfect location to transform the future of aquaculture.

By integrating its unique hybrid flow-through system technology (HFS), the company is setting new benchmarks for sustainable production, ensuring controlled and optimal growth conditions while reducing operational and biological risks.

The investment will not only fortify the operations at Indre Harøy, which is designed to achieve an annual capacity of approximately 31,500 tonnes HOG, but will also support its exciting joint venture with Dongwon Industries.

This collaboration aims to develop, construct, and operate a similar cutting-edge land-based salmon farming facility in South Korea with an annual production capability of 16,800 tonnes HOG.
