Rivet Dating raised $10.5M in seed funding to build what it calls the world's first dating network, a platform where users help each other find love rather than searching solo. Peak XV Partners, Shine Capital, and Blume Ventures backed the round.
The company's pitch rests on Social Matching, a proprietary approach that leans on the collective intuition of people with different perspectives to surface introductions users might otherwise swipe past. On Rivet, members can join as Matchers, weighing in on potential pairs and recommending introductions they think could work. High-scoring pairs are then introduced, and each person decides independently whether to match and start a conversation. Rivet is currently available in the United States.
