Rise Centered has raised $200K in crowdfunding for a sunrise alarm clock that deliberately does less than the phone on your nightstand. The device is carved from Himalayan salt and wood, and it wakes users with a gradual glow and bird sounds instead of an app, a subscription, or a Bluetooth pairing.

The company frames the product around reconnecting with yourself and taking real breaks from technology, which is either a genuine market or a very well-argued one. Either way, the round is closed.
