We are thrilled to announce that OpenLoop has successfully raised $15 million in funding to propel our innovative initiative aimed at revolutionizing transportation through the development of the Hyperloop. OpenLoop is a collaborative alliance formed by teams from six prestigious universities, including Cornell University, Harvey Mudd College, University of Michigan, Northeastern University, Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Princeton University. Our mission is to participate in SpaceX's Hyperloop competition, focusing on the design of a prototype pod that not only showcases cutting-edge technology but also lays the groundwork for a scalable nationwide network. With over 100 dedicated students and faculty members working tirelessly on this project, this new funding will allow us to accelerate our design and engineering processes, enhance our research capabilities, and develop a comprehensive feasibility study that highlights the potential for Hyperloop infrastructure across the United States.
