Resect AI has raised $25.0M, a fresh infusion of capital for the Pacific Northwest startup building what it calls the "accountability layer" for artificial intelligence.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs with backgrounds in AI and data science, the company focuses on "resecting" hallucinations-the confident, false outputs that large language models sometimes produce-to improve their factual accuracy. The round, announced without specified investors or a designated use of funds, lands as enterprises increasingly wrestle with reliability issues in generative AI. Resect AI operates out of the greater Portland area, led by a team that blends business and research experience.
