Gene therapy startup Remedium Bio has raised $10.0M in a Series A round, with backing from Lifespan Vision Ventures, Eli Lilly and Company, and HKX Capital.
The company is developing a platform it calls Prometheus™, designed to deliver therapeutic genes in a single treatment while allowing for dose adjustments afterward-an approach it says could replace repeated injections of biologic drugs at lower cost. Its lead candidate targets osteoarthritis, and the pipeline also includes programs for weight loss, Type 2 diabetes, and stroke.
