Quantum Leap: IQM Quantum Computers Secures $128M in Series A Funding Round

IQM Quantum Computers, a front-runner in the quantum computing landscape, has announced a significant funding milestone, successfully raising $128 million in its latest investment round.

This infusion of capital underscores IQM's commitment to advancing quantum technology and expands its capabilities in providing cutting-edge solutions to supercomputing centers, enterprises, and research laboratories worldwide.

The raised funds will primarily be allocated to enhance its on-premises quantum computers, which are already pivotal in innovative projects such as Finland’s 50-qubit quantum computer co-development with VTT and the IQM-led consortium’s HPC quantum accelerator in Germany.

Additionally, IQM is gearing up to use these funds to bolster its cloud offering, “IQM Resonance,” facilitating accessible quantum computing that empowers users to maximize computational power without the need for extensive hardware investments.

With a burgeoning workforce of over 300 employees spread across strategic offices in Espoo, Madrid, Munich, Palo Alto, Paris, Singapore, and Warsaw, IQM is poised to deepen its impact on the global quantum computing sector.
