The vision of an "Optical Highway to the Cosmos" just got a $3.3M boost. QOSMIC, the startup building optical infrastructure to modernize space communications, has closed a seed funding round. The company aims to bring space from the 2G to the 6G era, developing the foundational technology for faster, more robust data transfer between ground and orbit.
This initial capital infusion comes from investors Prosus, Accel, and South Park Commons. QOSMIC's mission centers on constructing the optical infrastructure from ground to space, effectively creating a high-speed data highway for the cosmos.
