Powerstove, the company behind a clean cooking stove that generates its own electricity, has secured $1.2M in new funding. The startup is known for its innovative biomass pellet stove, which cooks food five times faster than traditional methods and produces 50 watts of continuous off-grid power.
This unique stove allows users to charge phones, lights, and other devices, even storing surplus electricity in an attached lithium-ion battery for later use. Its built-in IoT system, controlling fan speed and power supply via internal computer chips, makes it the world's first and only clean cooking stove to achieve such a technological feature.
