The bottleneck holding back mass-market microLEDs just got a $7.0M boost. Pixel-Flo Ltd., a startup tackling the critical challenge of microLED mass transfer, has closed a Seed funding round to accelerate its novel process, which aims to make the advanced display technology available at mass market price points.
While existing mass transfer technologies struggle with continuous throughput due to constant wafer and carrier changes, Pixel-Flo's unique approach promises extremely high continuous throughput and scalability for even the largest panel sizes. The investment saw participation from Northern Universities Venture Fund (NUVF), Parkwalk, and Northern Gritstone.
