Pilgrim has raised $25.0M in seed funding to build biotechnology for defense and national security. The company says it's building "America's first biology prime," bringing together engineers, scientists, and operators to develop hardware for detecting biological threats, controlling hemorrhage, and preserving lifesaving cargo in contested environments.
The round drew a long list of backers: Buckley Ventures, Logan Graham, Sholto Douglas, Fred Ehrsam, Peter Thiel, Brian Armstrong, Dylan Field, Karim Atiyeh, and Bryan Johnson.
