PicPay, one of Brazil's leading digital banks, has secured $434.0 million in new funding from investors. This capital infusion marks a significant development for the company, which has a history spanning over 13 years in the financial technology sector.

Founded in Vitória, Espírito Santo, PicPay was a pioneer in instant peer-to-peer transactions and QR Code usage in Brazil, predating Pix by eight years. Today, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services for individuals, including credit, investments, insurance, and cards. For entrepreneurs, PicPay provides solutions such as payment machines, credit lines, and integrated corporate accounts. The company is also a reference in generative artificial intelligence and Open Finance.

The newly raised funds are intended to support PicPay's strategic growth initiatives. While specific allocation details were not disclosed, the capital is expected to bolster the company's ongoing efforts in product development, technological innovation, and market expansion within the competitive Brazilian financial landscape. This investment underscores confidence in PicPay's business model and its position as a key player in digital banking.

PicPay has demonstrated strong financial performance, reporting a net profit of R$ 208.4 million and net revenue of R$ 4.5 billion in the first half of 2025. The company also recorded a Total Payment Volume (TPV) of R$ 251.3 billion and a credit portfolio of R$ 16 billion, serving a base of 41.3 million active clients. It is recognized as the second-largest digital bank in Brazil and the seventh-largest bank by client numbers according to Bacen, also being voted the best digital bank in the iBest 2024 award.

Looking ahead, PicPay aims to leverage this investment to further solidify its market leadership and continue expanding its comprehensive suite of financial services, driving innovation in digital finance across Brazil.
