OroraTech Technologies Secures $27.3 Million in Funding for Cutting-Edge Wildfire Solution and Nanosatellite Expansion

OroraTech Technologies, a pioneering thermal data intelligence company based in Munich, Germany, has successfully raised €27,300,000 in a recent funding round, underscoring its commitment to fostering a net-zero economy and safeguarding our environment.

Established in 2018, OroraTech has rapidly expanded its revolutionary Wildfire Solution, which is currently employed by clients worldwide to monitor an impressive 160 million hectares of forest.

The newly acquired funds will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's multipurpose thermal-infrared sensing nanosatellites, which are designed to improve real-time response and deliver continuous coverage of environmental conditions.

Following the successful launch of their first satellite in January 2022, OroraTech is on track to grow its fleet to an ambitious 100 satellites in the coming years, a move that will significantly amplify its capabilities in wildfire detection and management.

Supported by private and institutional investors, as well as backing from the European Space Agency and the governments of Germany and Bavaria, OroraTech's international team of over 80 employees is dedicated to driving innovation in thermal data applications.
