OroraTech Secures $20 Million in Seed Funding to Expand Wildfire Solution and Launch Nanosatellite Fleet

OroraTech, a thermal data intelligence company based in Munich, Germany, has successfully raised $20,000,000 in funding.

The company is on a mission to pave the way for a net-zero economy and safeguard our environment.

Their renowned Wildfire Solution is widely utilized by clients globally, overseeing a massive expanse of over 160 million hectares of forests.

The funding will be dedicated to enhancing their services by introducing multi-purpose thermal-infrared sensing nanosatellites paired with in-space artificial intelligence to bolster real-time response capabilities and ensure uninterrupted coverage.

OroraTech's groundbreaking approach includes the recent successful launch of a pioneering satellite in January 2022, with plans to expand this to a constellation of 100 satellites in the years ahead.

Since its establishment in 2018, the company has flourished into a diverse team of more than 80 professionals, with backing from private and institutional investors, the European Space Agency, and support from the German and Bavarian governments.
