Orca AI has pulled in $7.0M in a Series A round backed by Alpha Capital, Genesis, Castrum Capital, and Becker Ventures.
Founded in 2018 by Navy veterans, the maritime tech startup sells an AI and computer-vision platform that shipping companies use to sharpen operational safety, efficiency, and sustainability. By June 2025, more than 1,200 vessels had been booked and installed with the system, with clients including MSC, Seaspan, Maran Tankers / Angelicoussis Group, NYK, and Marubeni. The fresh capital adds to a broader funding streak-Orca AI has now raised $111 million in total, following a $72.5 million Series B completed in May 2025. The company employs 110 people across offices in London, Athens, Singapore, and Tel Aviv.
