The largest health plans in the country are quietly leaning on AI to fix behavioral health economics, and one startup just raised a fresh Series A to push further into that market. Onos Health has secured $17.0M in a round led by Costanoa Ventures, with participation from Flare Capital Partners and CVS Health Ventures.
Onos’ platform gives health plans the infrastructure to track and improve clinical quality while keeping behavioral health programs affordable. The company says it’s already trusted by three of the six largest U.S. health plans, which suggests the pitch is landing where it counts. The new capital arrives as payers face mounting pressure to show better outcomes without ballooning costs-and Onos is positioning itself as the connective tissue between plans and providers in that effort.
