For the 37% of patients under 65-years-old, established clinical pathways have limited options between pain management and joint replacement. That leaves millions in a treatment gap facing a particularly difficult trade-off: undergo a knee replacement and face a lifetime revision risk of 1 in 3, or delay surgery and lose years of quality life. Olly Morgan and Mac Tuncer spent years operating at the end of that journey. Together, they scaled Meshworks Implants into the UK and Ireland’s leading provider of personalised, 3D-printed orthopaedic implants. The devices were designed for the most complex revision cases, where standard implants had already failed. They exited the business in 2024. That experience gave them an unusually clear view of what goes wrong upstream. Vitalis Ortho was founded on a single conviction that the window for meaningful intervention exists years before irreversible surgery becomes the only option. Our goal is to make joint preservation the default for younger patients, not the exception.

Our first Mk1 product is now available for order with a fusion neutron performance that has a 10x higher output and over 10x longer lifetime than any compact neutron source on the planet.
