Zurich Insurance is putting $200.0M behind Ominimo, a digital insurer that wants to strip the friction out of buying coverage across Europe. The Series A marks one of the larger early-stage checks in the region’s insurtech space this year.
Ominimo, backed by a roster of established insurance names, pairs industry know-how with a tech-first approach to sell transparent, flexible policies to both individuals and businesses. The fresh capital gives the company runway to scale its operations in Hungary and Poland, where it already operates, as it pushes toward a simpler, more customer-friendly model.
