NextNRG has closed a $27.2M Series C round, with backing from an institutional investor. The Nasdaq-listed company is building out its pitch as a one-stop energy management platform, weaving AI and machine learning into everything from utility infrastructure and battery storage to wireless EV charging and mobile fuel delivery.
The capital lands as NextNRG pushes its Next Utility Operating System®, an AI layer designed to optimize both new and existing grids across microgrids, utilities, and fleet operations. Its smart microgrids already serve commercial, healthcare, educational, tribal, and government sites, and the company also runs one of the nation’s largest on-demand fueling fleets. The fresh funding gives it more runway to advance wireless charging for fleet electrification-a piece of the puzzle that could prove pivotal as commercial fleets look to cut emissions without overhauling their infrastructure overnight.
