The global hiring playbook just got a new line item. Multiplier, a platform that lets companies hire, manage, and pay workers across borders, has raised $6.0M in seed funding.
The round is backed by Lux Capital, Y Combinator, GoAhead Ventures, and a roster of individual investors including Greg Jensen and Sandeep Nailwal. Multiplier’s pitch is infrastructure: it runs its own payroll engines and compliance teams across 160+ countries, rather than stitching together local partners. The company says it already processes over $2 billion in cross-border wages for 2,700-plus clients, positioning the fresh capital to deepen that owned-entity model.
