Mswipe Technologies has raised $6.7M in a Series E round, adding fresh capital to its push for a bigger slice of India’s merchant payments market. The company, which has been at it since 2011, is best known for its range of POS terminals-from palm-sized portables to smart devices and its newer Boombox, which alerts merchants with sound and display.
The funding comes as Mswipe leans into more than just card swipes. Its lending arm, Mcapital, offers instant digital loans to merchants, and the company also runs banking and enterprise solutions for large networks and consumer brands. With a footprint spanning over 16,000 pin codes across 800-plus cities, the round signals continued investor appetite for payments infrastructure that serves India’s small retailers.
