Milestone in Motion: Southeastern Secures £28 Million Funding Boost at Hither Green Station

We are thrilled to announce that Hither Green railway station has secured an impressive £28,000,000 funding boost, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to excellence in rail travel.

As a cornerstone of Southeastern, our operations span across Kent and East Sussex, running approximately 1,600 trains daily, carrying over 400,000 passengers each weekday, and servicing 180 stations across 450 miles of track.

This substantial investment will be strategically directed to modernizing our network infrastructure and enhancing the passenger experience on one of the busiest rail networks in the country.

With the rise in passenger demand and the need to provide a seamless, efficient travel experience, the funding is earmarked for the integration of cutting-edge technology, refurbishment of aging rolling stock, and further development of our pioneering domestic high-speed Javelin services—the first of its kind in the UK.
