Meissner has raised $2.6M in pre-seed funding, a round backed by BDC Capital’s Thrive Venture Fund alongside a roster of individual investors including Anthony Lacavera, Daniel Debow, and Christian Weedbrook.
The company builds advanced microfiltration and single-use systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with a focus on fluid handling technology developed in-house. The backing from Thrive, which targets early-stage Canadian tech, signals a bet on Meissner’s R&D-driven approach in a niche but critical corner of drug production.
