Marpai Administrators LLC has raised $12.1M in a Series A round, a capital infusion for the national technology-driven third-party administrator that manages self-funded health plans for employers.
The company, which positions itself as a cost-containment player in the healthcare administration space, says its services include claims processing, pharmacy benefits management, and proactive care management for members with high-cost chronic conditions. Marpai also touts savings on out-of-network claims and high-cost medications, along with a member-facing app for comparing provider pricing. The fresh funding arrives as employers grapple with rising healthcare costs, though the company did not specify how the capital will be deployed.
