Maiden Cricket has raised $546K in seed funding, a round that lands as the UK-based brand pushes to make cricket kit for women and girls something more than a menâs product in a smaller size. The company, founded by sisters Honor and Cat Black, builds playing kit, teamwear, and protective equipment cut around female bodies and the way women actually play the game.
The funding arrives as Maiden supplies clubs, schools, universities, and county boards across the UK, with a 300-plus ambassador community stretching from rising players to professionals. The sistersâ pitch is straightforward: fit and protection shouldnât be an afterthought in a sport where womenâs participation is growing. The capital gives them room to keep scaling that mission.
