London Quantum Group has raised $1.2M in pre-seed funding, a round backed solely by Long Journey Ventures. The young company is building what it calls a Blind Data Platform™, technology designed to run encrypted computation on live records-so insights can be extracted without the underlying data ever leaving its custodian’s control.
That pitch is aimed squarely at healthcare, where data sensitivity has long throttled research and model training. In the UK, London Quantum Group is already working with the National Health Service through a clinician-facing product called Provenance™, and in the US it’s targeting electronic medical records for applications like cancer prediction. The funding arrives as regulators and providers alike wrestle with how to unlock medical data’s value without eroding patient privacy-a tension the startup is betting its platform can resolve.
